41:06:09:01. Grouse hunting season established. The
grouse hunting season is open statewide from sunrise to sunset each day
beginning on the third Saturday of September except for Lacreek National
Wildlife Refuge where the season opens the third Saturday of October. The
season remains open to the first Sunday of January, inclusive. In Lacreek
National Wildlife Refuge the shooting hours run concurrently with the pheasant
season each day beginning on the third Saturday of October. "Grouse"
includes sharptail grouse, ruffed grouse, and prairie chicken.
