44:04:14:12. Pharmacy or drug room. The pharmacy or drug
room must be well ventilated and have a locking door. The pharmacy or drug room
must be sized for the distribution system used and must have a work counter
with sink, a separate locked and fastened compartment or room for the storage
of controlled substances, refrigerated and frozen storage spaces, and other
approved storage for drugs. If additive injectables
are prepared, a sterile products area must be provided. The work space must be
well illuminated. Emergency power must be provided for essential services.
Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning services must be provided to
maintain the temperature of the room between 59 degrees Fahrenheit (15 degrees
centigrade) and 86 degrees Fahrenheit (30 degrees centigrade).
