44:20:03:01. General measures for control of communicable
diseases. Except as otherwise provided in this article, the public health
measures for communicable diseases are based on those specified by the
"methods of control" or "control measures" section of one
of the following: Control of
Communicable Diseases Manual, 18th edition, American Public
Health Association, 2004; Red Book 2006:
Report of the Committee on Infectious
Diseases, 27th edition, American Academy of Pediatrics, 2006; Sexually Transmitted Diseases Treatment
Guidelines, 2006, Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR), August 4,
2006, 55(RR-11); Epidemiology and
Prevention of Vaccine-Preventable Diseases, Atkinson et al., 10th
ed. Washington DC, Public Health Foundation, 2007, and, to any extent more
recent and equally reliable information is available from the Centers for
Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the department may also include that
information as public health measures for communicable diseases.
