55:10:11:01.  Salaries. The salary of employees occupying civil service positions shall be within the salary schedule approved by the commission for the respective class. Any change in salary made pursuant to this chapter that has an impact upon the fair, equitable, and consistent treatment of any employee is subject to the review and approval of the commissioner prior to the commissioner's approval of the payroll.
