Rule 64:02:01:05 Examinations -- When offered -- Qualifications.

          64:02:01:05.  Examinations -- When offered -- Qualifications. Examinations for certification shall be given as considered necessary by the secretary.  An applicant is qualified to be certified if the applicant has at least one year of full-time experience in the assessing and appraising field, has completed and passed the required training prescribed in § 64:02:01:16, and has passed the certification examination.

          A mass appraiser with two years of experience is qualified to be certified if the appraiser is currently licensed with the South Dakota Real Estate Commission or the department, has successfully completed the course entitled "Mass Appraisal of Residential Property" published by IAAO or the equivalent as determined by the secretary, and has taken and passed the certification examination.
