The House convened at 10:30 a.m., pursuant to adjournment, the Speaker presiding.
The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Pastor John Fette, followed by the Pledge of
Allegiance led by House pages Megan Foster and Casey Jo Shippy.

amendments thereto made by the House, and the disagreement of the two houses thereon, and
recommends that SB 130 be amended as follows:

On page 2, line 5, of the House Education Committee engrossed bill, delete "may" and
insert "shall".
On page 1, line 7, of the House Education Committee engrossed bill, after "policy" insert
", except that no school district policy prohibiting bullying, whether it is existing or adopted
pursuant to this Act, may contain any protected classes of students".
On page 2, line 14, after "report;" insert "and".
On page 2, line 18, delete "; and" and insert ".".
On page 2, delete lines 19 and 20.
On page 3, line 1, of the House Education Committee engrossed bill, after "." insert
"Moreover, the provisions of this Act do not create a cause of action against any school district,
school district employee, school volunteer, student, or parent unless there has been substantial
noncomplaince with the school district's policy resulting in injury to a protected person.".

A RESOLUTION, Expressing the appreciation and gratitude of the House of Representatives
of the Eighty-seventh Legislature of the State of South Dakota to Kaitlin Buchholz, Emily
Carr, Brittany Cleveland, Vanessa Cortes, Drew Dennert, Adam Eichten, Megan Foster,
Makenzie Hageman, Allison Hosman, Ronni Kenyon, Ruth Latterell, Jordan Rohrbach,
Nicole Romeyn, Casey Shippy, James Updike, Hannah Zylstra
WHEREAS, the above named served loyally as pages for the House of Representatives of
the Eighty-seventh Legislative Session; and
WHEREAS, the members of the Eighty-seventh House of Representatives express their
most sincere appreciation to these young people for their service to the state; and
