Annual confirmation by law enforcement of residence address.
The chief of
police in the municipality in which the sex offender resides, or if no chief of police exists, the sheriff
of the county, shall annually confirm that the address listed on the sex offender registry matches the
residence of each registered sex offender. Such confirmation shall be submitted to the Division of
Criminal Investigation.
