34-35-2.   Fireguards across center of township--Tax levy. The electors at the annual meeting of an organized civil township may also provide fireguards similar to those authorized by § 34-35-1 each way across the center of the township and they shall vote a tax, in addition to the amount levied for other purposes, upon the property, including railroads, embraced in such area, for the purpose of defraying the necessary expenses of such fireguards.
